First Underage GAA set up in Bristol for decades to start up on 17th of May 2018
St Nicks are pleased to announce we will be providing Underage Gaelic Football Training for Boys and Girls in the South west of England. The target age range are 8-14 year old and we welcome Boys and girls of all abilities. We hope to provide a great standard of GAA coaching while most importantly having fun and enjoying Ireland’s favourite sport.
Why start Underage GAA in Bristol?
With the large Irish community in Bristol and the huge interest in Gaelic Football it was only a matter of time before Underage Gaelic football was going to start up. With Adult level in Bristol thriving at the moment. Its time to develop underage GAA in the South West. Other Major city’s in the UK such as Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and not to mention London have seen Underage GAA blossom in recent years and in turn has provided UK County teams with a conveyor belt off English born GAA talent. Evidence of this was in Last years Connacht SFC, where London had 4 London born players in the starting 15.
Gaelic football is not just a sport, also a great way for Kids to make new friends while keeping fit and learning new skills.
The men that have made this possible are St Nicks men Paddy Miskella, Barry Geoghegan and Gloucestershire Gaelic Games Development officer Liam Beej.
Its all to start Thursday 17th of May where Training and a meeting to discuss future plans will start at 6pm.
If you require more information please contact Paddy Miskella on 07958117030
We hope to see you all there Thursday!
